In the era of globalization, global health is influenced by health-related, environmental, political, and security factors. Armed conflicts, such as the war in Ukraine, clearly demonstrate how security crises can damage health infrastructure, disrupt access to services, and affect the mental and physical health of societies. This inseparable link between security and health requires a systematic analysis of the megatrends shaping global health. The objective is to provide a comprehensive analysis of global health megatrends, with an emphasis on the context of security challenges. This is essential for better understanding the interactions between these domains, identifying future challenges, and formulating integrated policies and solutions. This descriptive-analytical study employs trend analysis, one of the foundational methods of futures studies. Through the qualitative and quantitative review and analysis of credible international documents and sources including those published by organizations such as WHO, the World Bank, OECD, and reputable scientific centers the study identifies and analyzes global health megatrends. The identified megatrends fall into five main categories: (1) Global Health Security, including the integration of advanced technologies, the One Health approach, and global cooperation; (2) Transformation of Health Systems, including the shift toward outpatient care, rising costs, and the integration of technology into education; (3) Public Health, including advances in data analysis, efforts to achieve vaccination equity, and innovation in vaccine production; (4) Technology and Innovation, including artificial intelligence, telemedicine, and digital therapeutics; and (5) War and Health, including severe disruption of health services, health challenges faced by refugees, and the resurgence of infectious diseases. These findings emphasize the dual nature of the challenges threats arising from conflicts versus opportunities created by technology and the necessity of an integrated approach.
