Abstract

One of the most important factors in achieving the version of Islamic futurism is how Muslim futurists perceive a source of religious knowledge. This article, by adopting the documentary method and based on "content analysis", has researched three types of foundationalism, i.e. "Islamic-religious based on future research", "Quran based on future research" and "Hadith based on future research". Further, in order to improve the acceleration in the process of discovery, comprehensiveness, intersubjectivity of the version of Islamic futurism, paying attention to some of the epistemological considerations, the cognitive source and the cognitive methodology are an undeniable necessity. Among these things: Lack of deciphering the meaning of the Islamicness of futurism", "how the suffix "Islamic" in futurism studies as "attribute" or "adjective" and "demarcation of the appropriateness of the version of Islamic futurism with its synonyms", "ambiguity in introducing the criteria of Islamic studies futurism", "lack of attention to the role of "method" in futurism studies", "non-use of religious seer sources and evidence", "unknown role of human experiences and achievements in its epistemological puzzle", "lack of introduction of methodological mechanisms in the presentation of theory" and "failure to form a system of problems in Islamic futurology studies".
