First, it offers a theoretical perspective on the position and importance of civilization studies, the adoption of a civilizational approach, and civilizational foresight; second, it provides a brief discussion of the relationship between Islamic teachings and the issues of civilization and civilization-building. Accordingly, based on documentary study and data collection, followed by description and analysis, and with emphasis on the theory of civilizational encounter (Challenge-and-Response), the main findings of theoretical studies of civilization are as follows: civilization studies and civilization-building for continuous sociocultural growth and flourishing and for avoiding falling behind the advancing course of civilization; civilization studies and civilization-building as a moral and transgenerational mission aimed at creating a desirable situation for future generations; civilization studies and civilization-building for historical self-awareness and overcoming the problems and challenges arising from the civilizational encounter with Western civilization; and civilization studies and civilization-building for attaining a civilizational vision and horizon for action and laying its foundations in accordance with the cultural ecosystem. Other components also indicate the relationship between Islamic doctrines and teachings and civilization-building. These include general teachings concerning the development and prosperity of the earth; the presentation in the Holy Qur’an of major civilizational examples of the forces of truth and falsehood; the depiction of the forces opposed to revelation and the prophets as a complex social order possessing civilizational characteristics; the indication in certain theological propositions of the importance of civilization-building as preparation for the formation of an authentic divine civilization, regarded as the ultimate historical ideal of the prophetic tradition; the issue of divine religions and civilizational unity centered on the concept of monotheism; and, finally, civilization-building as a framework for the realization of the civilizational concepts, doctrines, and teachings of Islam. این نوشتار اهمیت مطالعات تمدنی در راستای تمدن‌سازی را از دو حیث مورد بررسی قرار می‌دهد؛ اولاً منظری نظری به جایگاه و اهمیت تمدن‌پژوهی، اتخاذ رویکرد تمدنی و آینده‌نگری تمدنی خواهد داشت؛ ثانیاً نگاهی اجمالی در باب نسبت بین آموزه‌های اسلامی و مسئله تمدن و تمدن‌سازی ارائه می‌شود. براین‌اساس مبتنی بر مطالعه و گردآوری اسنادی و توصیف و تحلیل آن‌ها و با تأکید بر نظریه مواجهه تمدنی، مهم‌ترین آورده‌های مطالعات نظری تمدن، به قرار زیر بیان می‌شود؛ تمدن‌پژوهی و تمدن‌سازی برای رشد و بالندگی روزافزون فرهنگی اجتماعی و عقب نماندن از قافله پیش‌رونده تمدن، تمدن‌پژوهی و تمدن‌سازی به‌مثابه رسالتی اخلاقی و فرانسلی در جهت ساخت وضعیتی مطلوب برای آیندگان، تمدن‌پژوهی و تمدن‌سازی در راستای خودآگاهی تاریخی و برون‌رفت از معضلات و چالش‌های برآمده از مواجهه تمدنی با تمدن غرب، تمدن‌پژوهی و تمدن‌سازی برای دستیابی به چشم‌انداز و افق حرکتی تمدنی و پی‌ریزی مبانی آن در تناسب با زیست‌بوم فرهنگی. همچنین مؤلفه‌های دیگری نیز بیانگر نسبت بین آموزه‌ها و تعالیم اسلامی و مقوله تمدن‌سازی هستند؛ آموزه‌های کلی مبنی بر برقراری آبادانی و عمران در زمین، معرفی نمونه‌های عظیم تمدنی جریان‌های حق و باطل در قرآن کریم، ترسیم و تصویرگری جریان مخالف وحی و انبیا در قامت نظم پیچیده اجتماعی و برخوردار از ویژگی‌های تمدنی، دلالت برخی گزاره‌های الهیاتی بر اهمیت تمدن‌سازی از حیث تمهید در جهت شکل‌گیری تمدن اصیل الهی به‌مثابه آرمان نهایی و تاریخی جریان نبوت، مسئله ادیان الهی و وحدت تمدنی حول محور مفهوم توحید و در نهایت تمدن‌سازی به‌مثابه ظرفیت برای تحقق مفاهیم، آموزه‌ها و تعالیم تمدنی اسلام ازجمله این موارد هستند. https://jsfs.sndu.ac.ir/article_4143_b546d98f7df8aeaaa437c9bd27f57515.pdf
